And, as luck wouldhave it, I will shortly be getting back to working with stained glass andanyone who has done this knows that a light box is essential for tracingpatterns, etc. This box was purchased to view old negatives which are difficult to seeand identify any other way. It worked beautifully. I have not used the box as such yet, but am quite certainit will work equally as well. For the price, I feel it was a bargain.
This is a quality product. The light is strong and evenly distributed, and while it's bright enough to aide whatever work you're doing with it, it doesn't blind you in the process ;)One very, very small complaint is that the folding wire stand is attached loosely, making it rather flimsy and somewhat distracting if you pick up the box to move to a different work space. Not a big deal for most customers, I'm sure :)Delivery was faster than I expected, especially since the manufacturer is in the U.S. and I'm currently in Canada.All in all, I'm pleased to recommend this item to anyone and everyone :D
I've bought 3 of these boxes for my comp. They've been fine up until now when I'm trying to find replacement bulbs. urgh.
My fifteen year old budding artist loves this light box. She has really been able to develop her skills by practicing the styles of her favorite artists, and she has been able to duplicate her own art work with better accuracy for animation. She especially likes being able to use the light box either on her lap, a flat surface or tilted with the stand. It's bright enough to shine through magazine and heavy papers, and was a great deal for the price.
You cannot beat the price on this one.Lights up evenly,does not overheat. Portable.The light is very bright you can actually see through some heavier papers.I even recieved my order in a few days. A lot faster than expected.
